The photograph entitled, "Fog", taken by Jason Zito was submitted to the 2011 National Geographic Traveler Photo Contest. There's no other information regarding when it was taken, but for downtown travelers, you'll recognize it as Main and Howard right outside Macy's.

Fathers day is approaching and we, alright I,  wanted to find something cool that was NON-electronic. Found it and it has a lot of heat but is very cool. A huge thanks to Mountain Gear for the loan of the JETBOIL.

Get Hoopfest Mobile!
Tracking your schedule and your favorite players at Hoopfest is set to become a lot easier this year, thanks to Hoopfest Mobile. The site, introduced for the first time this year, allows you to follow your bracket, track any player and find your court with your cell phone.

Until now, you'd have to go to the court to find out when you were playing. The other option: fight the crowds at the bracket boards at Riverfront Park. With tens of thousands of people lining downtown streets, you know the task can be quite time consuming and downright annoying.

Spokane's in Bloom!

Spokane's in Bloom!

We've been couped up long enough and it is now time to get out and enjoy some of the beauty of the northwest.  There's the "Gone with the Wind Garden" at 14815 N. River Park Lane in Nine Mile Falls or how about strolling through the "Days of Wine and Roses Garden" at 9125 N.

Seven2 Geeks Save the Day

An unsuspecting vehicle prowler smashed into a passenger window in downtown Spokane this morning and ran off with a bag in broad daylight. Little did 34-year old Glen W. O'Brien know, he was being watched by employees of Seven2 at 244 W. Main. There's a very visual warning on the front of the building to ward off villains. It's the face of a wrestler. Seven2 houses dozens of web and game designers. Downstairs they have their very own fitness gym which no doubt gave these nerds their physical prowess.
