A Sisters Touch Doula Service | Alternative Medicine

The word Doula comes from the ancient Greek, meaning "a woman who serves".  Birth Doulas provide physical, emotional and informational support for women and their partners, before, during and after childbirth.  We believe that women will forever remember their birth experiences and wish to help them have a positive, empowering birth. We strive to work with medical personnel, in hospital, birth center or at homebirths. Many hospitals these days are unable to provide laboring women with continuous support due to budget cuts and staff shortages.  Having a Doula at your birth can greatly help with these shortfalls in our over burdened health care system.
