God's Closet is open and for just $1 needy families can fill four bags of clothes for their families.
Every three months since February 2009, the Seventh-Day Adventist Church transforms into a children's clothing provider.
“Our goal is to really just help parents in the community,” Jennifer Dubon, director of God's Closet, said.
Several clothing consignment stores and people from the community donate gently-used children's clothes (ages newborn to 18 years old) for the quarterly event. Up to 50 people donated their time Thursday to set up the event.
When the event started, 39 families showed up, and today Dubon is hoping for around 600 families to utilize the service.
“We don't ask income level, we're open for everybody,” Dubon said.
