Arts Fund appoints new Executive Director | Arts & Culture
The Spokane Arts Fund announced they have a new Executive Director. Shannon Roach was appointed by a unanimous vote of the board of directors on July 23rd and will begin work with the Arts Fund on October 1st.
“We are proud to have a professional with Shannon's experience excited to come to Spokane and the Spokane Arts Fund,” said Brooke Keiner, Board Chair. “We look forward to the support of the Spokane community as the Spokane Arts Fund grows and thrives under Shannon's leadership.”
Shannon Roach has been the Executive Director of the Northwest Chapter of The Recording Academy, the group behind the Grammys, since 2011. Roach has also served as a Mayoral Appointee to the Seattle Center Advisory Committee and as a member of the Seattle Music Commission.
“This is an exciting time for art in Spokane, and I'm thrilled to have the opportunity to bring my arts leadership experience to the region,” Roach said about her new position. “I've seen first hand how arts can foster the creative cultures that bolster economies and build regional identity.”
Roach added that she is honored to join the Spokane Arts Fund and to contribute to Spokane's bright future. The Spokane Arts Fund is a non-profit that works to promote and build arts programs in the Spokane community.
