Local artist, coffee roaster team up for "Sea of Love" | Arts & Culture
You may recognize her artwork around Spokane even if you don’t know who she is. Tiffany Patterson has a strange style that takes you underwater to swim with impossible creatures. Her work is on the walls of local businesses and parks, but now it’s on a fair-trade coffee bag.
Doma Coffee, based out of Post Falls, releases a series of Valentine’s Day coffee every year. This is the fourth year and now Patterson’s art will be printed on the bag with soy-based ink. This year, the coffee is called: “Sea of Love”.
“The ocean plays a big role in my work and the creatures and happiness and humor are the main themes of my work,” Patterson said.
You can find her murals featured on the walls of Neato Burrito, a downtown burrito shop along 1st. If you go into the bathroom there, you can see more of her art on the dozens of event posters pasted on the wall.
In the Peaceful Valley neighborhood she has also worked on a community mural project with students. Patterson says her work is also on the bathroom doors for the “new”, but now old, Empyrean at 2nd and Washington that closed last year.
On March 16, Patterson has a exhibit opening at the Moses Lake Museum and Art Center. A reception is being held from 5-8 p.m. A coffee tasting with “Sea of Love” will be held on February 11th at the South Hill Rocket Market from Noon to 3 p.m.

She says the coffee has “strong notes of cherry, sweet tarts and fleur de sel caramel. Smooth body with a long, clean honeyed finish.”
Road level is 3 out of 6.
