Police Make Arrest in Stabbing

Spokane Police arrested a suspect on Sunday afternoon following a stabbing earlier that morning.

A woman was stabbed twice after she and her husband confronted their neighbors about a loud party. The suspect was a guest of the party and had fled the location when police arrived. Other party guests and the residents of the home also appear to have fled the scene.

20-year-old Shanda F. White was arrested later that day for 1st Degree Assault. The husband of the victim, 27- year-old Shane B. Holestine, was also arrested for Rendering Criminal Assistance 1st Degree. Further investigation showed that Holestine lied and misled officers as they attempted to locate the suspect.
