"Kids Helping Kids" Free Concert on Thursday | Events

Spokane, WA – The Spokane Youth Symphony is offering up its talents to the Spokane Community and to help kids in need. The Kids Helping Kids concert at Riverfront Park is a free concert for kids and adults this Thursday August 1 at 6pm. It will feature inspiring classical music by some of the region's best young musicians.
Donations will support the Salvation Army's Sally's House, which provides emergency foster care to children who have been removed from their homes due to severe abuse and neglect.
Spokane Mayor David Condon will be the honorary Master of Ceremonies and will speak to the importance of how kids in the Spokane community are using their time and talents to raise money and support other Spokane children in need.
The concert will be performed by the Sensational Summer Music Festival Orchestra, conducted by Julián Gómez Giraldo.
UPDATE: Due to thundstroms in the weather forecast, the concert has been moved to Showalter Hall at Eastern Washington University.
