If you're looking for something to do during the week, here's some events we curated together. It ranges from astronomical events, a viewing of the movie Alien and even the grand opening of Chipotle.

If something looks good, grab your day planner and scribble it in. We like to use our phone's reminder app so an annoying noise happens when it's time for an event. If you think we missed an event, let us know, comment below.

For those reading from either Adams County or Couer D'alene, there's an event for you.

Monday, June 4th

Community Band - Looking for a musical evening? Spokane Falls Community College has a band that plays a medley of music. We once heard them perform Colonel Bogey's March. It was years ago, but it still haunts our ears. On the repertoire, selections from "Ben Hur". | 7:30-10 p.m. @ SFCC, 3410 W. Fort George Wright Dr.

Tuesday, June 5th

Transit of Venus - This is a rare event that you can only seen once. Venus will pass between the Earth and Sun. Since we live in the West Coast-ish, we'll get to see more of it than other parts of the country. It will be a nice sunset event, but you'll need the right tools to view it safely. | 3:05-9:48 p.m. @ Spokane

Jamal Ali - Hip hop at The Rocket Market? Say it isn't so. Might go well with the Transit of Venus. | 7:30-10 p.m. @ The Rocket Market, 726 E. 43rd Ave.

Wednesday, June 6th

Chipotle - Sound the horns. The burrito bowl is here. Opening day for the restaurant Chipotle. | 11-8 p.m. @ Chipotle, 930 N. Division, Spokane

Alien - Has anyone else been watching the trailer to Prometheus over and over again? Rumor has it, it's the "precursor" to Alien in some form or another. The Magic Lantern Theatre and Merlyn's are joining together to bring this movie to those totally stoked for Friday's release of Prometheus. Caution: Face huggers. | 9:30-11 p.m. @ The Magic Lantern, 25 W. Main, Spokane

Broken Mic - It blows our mind that there's a poetry scene in Spokane and it's good. They congregate during a weekly meetup much like an open mic at Neato Burrito and take over the venue for the evening. All ages and $1 grilled cheese sandwiches and PBR. Caution: Hipsters. | 6:30-8 p.m. @ Neato Burrito, 827 W. 1st Ave, Spokane

South Hill Coalition - Hopefully you turned in those surveys to help determine what you want fixed or improved in your South Hill neighborhood. Next on the schedule, a recap of those results will be discussed. | 6-8 p.m. @ Sacajawea Middle School, 401 E. 33rd Ave., Spokane

Thursday, June 7th

How to Succeed at Business Without Really Trying - As we learned with Mad Men, everyone has to try, but in some worlds, not so much. Who doesn't love this musical? Caution: Rosemary | 7:30-10 p.m. @ Lake City Playhouse, 1320 E. Garden Ave., Coeur d'Alene

Friday, June 8th

Elkfest - The festival no longer coincides with Artfest, but this is another reason to head back down to Browne's Addition. Think of this as Spokane's Sasquatch centralized around a restaurant where the festival gets its name. Headliner: My Goodness | 5-9 p.m. @ The Elk, 1931 W. Pacific, Spokane

Swampfest - Flying Spiders headlines this concert on the edge of Browne's Addition. Walking distance to Elkfest. $5. | 8-2 a.m. @ The Swamp, 1904 W. 5th, Spokane

Saturday, June 9th

Pride Festival & Parade - For those wanting to support the local LGBTQA community, there's a parade for that. The annual event always promises tons of energy and proud fun. The WSU Raptor Club will be out there as well! | 12 p.m. @ Riverfront Park

Lind Derby Extravaganza - What do farmers do with their old combines? They throw them in the arena. It's like the thunder dome with less Tina Turner. | 3 p.m. @ Lind,Washington

Parade of Paws - Walk either a 2 or 4 mile walk with your dog or friends to benefit the Spokane Humane Society. | 10 a.m. @ Spokane Humane Society, 6607 N. Havana

Elkfest - The festival no longer coincides with Artfest, but this is another reason to head back down to Browne's Addition. Think of this as Spokane's Sasquatch centralized around a restaurant where the festival gets its name. Headliner: Velella Velella | 1-9 p.m. @ The Elk, 1931 W. Pacific, Spokane

Sunday, June 10th

Elkfest - The festival no longer coincides with Artfest, but this is another reason to head back down to Browne's Addition. Think of this as Spokane's Sasquatch centralized around a restaurant where the festival gets its name. Headliner: The Globes | 1-9 p.m. @ The Elk, 1931 W. Pacific, Spokane
