'I Have A Dream' to be delivered at hospitals | Events
Kick off the celebration of Martin Luther King, Jr., weekend on Tuesday, when Reverend Percy “Happy” Watkins delivers the groundbreaking “I Have A Dream” speech at Providence Holy Family and Sacred Heart.
Anne McKeon, of Providence Health Care Public Relations, estimated that Watkins has delivered the speech for at least 10 years at Holy Family and the last two years at Sacred Heart.
The Holy Family show starts at noon in the Health Education Center. The Sacred Heart rendition will begin at 3 p.m. in the Murphy Room in the Providence Center for Faith & Healing. The event is free and refreshments will be served.
