SNAP still has Energy Assistance appointments open | Families
From SNAP spokesperson Tricia Ovnicek:
SNAP still has Energy Assistance appointments available. The easiest way for people to make an appointment is on our website SNAPWA.ORG … they just need to click the thermostat on the home page to start the appointment process.
Our phone lines (242.2376) are still open between 8:30-3 weekdays, but people should expect a hold time of anywhere between 5 and 60 minutes, which is why we’re directing them to the web – it’s open 24/7 until appointments are full, and it’s very quick and easy.
To qualify people need to live in Spokane County, be at or below 125% of Federal poverty guidelines and prove they’re responsible for their heat burden (name needs to be on their bill). All these requirements are listed on the website as well.
