Spokane and Spokane Valley want you to report potholes | News
While trudging through the snow and hoping you car stops on the ice are some of the worst things about winter, the biggest winter problem is easily potholes. The freeze and thaw patterns create the craters and the cities of Spokane and Spokane Valley want your help filling the pesky potholes.
In Spokane you can report potholes straight from your smartphone or from your computer at work or home. Just go to the city’s new and improved website, spokanecity.org, and click on STREETS. From there you select POTHOLES and start submit a report by selecting POTHOLE REPAIR REQUEST.
If you’re reporting a pothole from your desktop computer or tablet, you’ll need to do using Google Chrome. Another note, the new Spokane website is still in transition, so you may encouter the old website, just go to DEPARTMENTS and select STREETS.
The form asks for information on size, and location and if it’s caused any property damage. The more information you can provide the better. There’s even a spot for you to include a photo of the pothole. This is where using your smartphone makes it easy, you can snap a picture on your phone and upload it straight to the form.
Again, the more information you can provide the better. Size, location, side of the street it’s on and the depth of the pothole go a long way toward getting it repaired. You can also report a Spokane Valley pothole by calling (509) 921-1000.
