Starting this week, you’ll start to notice new prices on some downtown parking. The City of Spokane says they’re working on switching out the plates of about 2,300 parking meters to reflect new rates approved last year by Spokane City Council.
Ann Deasy, City of Spokane, says crews are working on changing the 10-hour meters first to $0.40 per hour. That should be done in about a week. All the other meters should be completed in the next three weeks or so.
Meters under four hours are being changed to $1.20 per hour. 30-minute meters will be $0.60 per hour.
The 90-minute meters will remain at the same price, $1.20 per hour as well.
