Top Five: Hueys and Evil Mustaches

A new top story has been decided in Spokane. Good bye, Craigslist chair. Hello, Huey. We were getting calls into the newsroom about that green helicopter flying around Spokane and we gave Fairchild a call to see if they had answer.

Which begs the question: is it news? There were a few naysayers out there. If people call our newsroom asking what the helicopter is, do we ignore it? No. We find out what and why it is and answer their questions. When a population has a curiosity, then it's news.

Next, we dived right back into the science fiction realm. A Seattle villain says Spokane is doing just fine as long as we keep a lack of super heroes on our streets. Curious minds wonder what the downtown comic book shop, Merlyn's, thinks about this.

Also, congratulations to our newscast producer Joseph Suttner who had a story enter the Top Five. He's responsible for the new Dishman Hills trail story.

Here's a quick insight into our stats by showing our five most popular stories from last week:

1. Military helicopter buzzing Spokane

2. Seattle's mustached villain warns Spokane of super hero stunts

3. Spokane's blue heart vandal arrested

4. New south hill trail connection between Dishman Hills Natural Area

5. Clover aims for balance of fine dining quality and locality
