Photo Gallery | Photo Gallery: July's First Friday
Downtown Spokane will be transformed into a cultural, art packed extravaganza the first Friday of July. It's all part of an event named after the day it happens: "First Friday."
The Downtown Spokane partnership puts on the event the first Friday of every month. Businesses from Adams Street all the way to the University District open their doors for one night just to showcase art, music or other attractions in the area. In most cases each location shows off a piece of art even if their business has nothing to do with art pieces. This July, there will be more than 40 locations that will participate in this event that range from art galleries, to hair salons, to restaurants and coffee shops. Attendees will also see a variety of pieces from drawings, ceramic art, paper flower creations and even "Jello art."
To sweeten the deal for the businesses, you can vote for your favorite venue at the event.
All venues will be open from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.
You can cast your vote as well as view a list of all the locations at the Downtown Spokane First Friday page.
